Lee Thompson - Senior Recruitment Consultant

Lee is the main day to day contact for Ship to Shore and runs the operation from its head office in Blyth. Lee has worked for the company for over 10 years and has extensive port experience. Lee liases with the manning operatives of the relevant port on a daily basis to ensure that we meet the demands of our clients. Lee operates a 24 hours out of office service and is always available to assist our clients as required. Lee is also a qualified RTITB instructor and holds a NEBOSH general certificate .


John Purvis - Training coordinator

John is a highly skilled instructor with many years experience. John heads up our training arm to ensure that all our workers are trained up to the highest levels to meet the needs of our clients. John can train in Port Safety, Slinging, Crane training, FLT training, Shovel training and many other disciplines. We brought this service in house to differentiate our offering to our clients we are now positioned to provide the highest set of skilled operatives within the region. John can provide comprehensive on-site training at very competitive rates.


Bill Taylor - Recruitment Consultant- Logistics

Bill is an Industry expert having ran his own haulage firm and having worked as a Transport & Logistics manager for several years. He has been involved in the recruitment industry for 10 years and is a stalwart in the temporary logistics market. Bill operates a 24 hour out of hours service and is always contactable on his mobile. He understands the different licensing requirements and has been a Gold star de poel supplier for many years. What ever your short term driver requirements are, Bill will be there eager to respond.

 


Lee Andrews - Director
With over 20 years experience of recruitment, Lee, an honours graduate and linguist, has a background in technical, engineering and managerial recruitment with both national and boutique consultancies. A former Governor of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC), he enjoys cycling and five-a-side in his spare time.


Ian O'Brien - Director
Ian is the group Finance Director, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer.  He is a member of S2S management team and is responsible for the financial affairs of the S2S group.
Ian qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant  in 2003 and is also an IMC qualified member of the UK Society of Investment Professionals.  He joined S2S in 2009, after having worked for a large locally-based recruitment business as Managing Director, and also having held senior financial positions with several regional SMEs.  Before that Ian worked as a a Regional Audit Manager in a top ten Accountancy Practice dealing with risk management, compliance and best practice consulting.
Ian seeks to develop key accounts based on his network and experience and strives to establish S2S as a major recruitment brand across the North East.
